I love kids very much, I was a kindergaten teacher in my hometown long time ago – though only 1 year of teaching before moving Jakarta😀
They are real innocent, still incontaminated, so their saying will be sincere out of their mind.
Last Friday, I went to one of the ‘sayonara sale’ person who put an ad in the Gaijinpot. I was looking for TV, microwave and desk lamp. Unfortunately, she was ran out of the stuffs except for the desk lamp. But I kept on contacting and would be going to her place.
Before the appointment, I did the browsing to her blog – Nishikatamama, it’s nice blog, moreover, I saw the two cute kids, named Lukas and Anna.
Yup, there are very lovely, I like the girly kid, I wanted a sister, but my parents gave my younger brothers only. T_T haha, so when I finally came to her place, there they’re. The nishikatamama, a friendly warm woman; Lukas, he likes to talk about the toys he has – maybe we find most western kids are willing to talk more to the new person as compared to Asian.🙂 Anna, she’s bit quite, but i love her eyes and cheek. Ooh, my..
Then, in the friendster, my profile was viewed by Indonesian woman married to Netherlander, I think. Now she is in Netherland . I browsed to her pictures, oh.. what a cute boy she has, a cross culture asian and western boy she has. We wrote some messages and she wrote about how his boy “Loris” is so active, able to walk already, and so on for the list of skills he has now. haha..
Kids are god’s gift, don’t you think? There will be the time how couples make a big effort to have these innocent creatures. But in contrary, there are couples who perform the abortion, that’s life. Everyone has the right to make up the plan!
It’s about 2 weeks ago when i read J-Link mailing list about the Akachan post(赤ちゃんポスト）, also I have read some news about the government policy for this akachan post. It’s been the concept about last November, and this concept just launched, begun to comply or whatever we called it, on 10 May in the Kumamoto Jikei Hospital (熊本の慈恵病院).
The idea came like this, every single hospital will comply having a drop-off box (looks like microwave size box inside the wall with a 2 way door and there’s a cute yellow bedding, temperature ctrl, etc).
And this box is the place where unwanted babies are dropped inside, then there’ll be alarm alert notifying there’s a new arrival of the baby.
Well, there are surely lots of pro and contra, depends on your point of view.
These will be my subjective opinion, may differ from the others.
1) Government -> to cope with the society problem as the grow of population in Japan is very low. Moreover, this is to protect the right to live for the innocent babies against the irresponsible parent who are not mentally prepared to be parents either because of the young age having babies before marriage or the financial problem, maybe.
In this point, I think this policy will gonna work, at least to lessen the death rate of unwanted babies left in the park, river, etc.
2)Irresponsible parents -> for they who has the baby from having sex before marriage, it will be probably hard for them to grow up the babies. If they want to throw the baby away, probably they will go through to the process of police interview, etc so the good thing of this akachan post, they can just drop the baby anonymously.
3)Parents who want baby desperately
-> If the unwanted babies are found, and who’s gonna adapt them without the proper medical history? At least, if you find it in the hospital, I believe a more proper term for the program will
be both good for “Save kid surrender” and “Wanted kid badly”.
See, there’ll always be positive side of any policy..😀
Well, as for me, I am thinking of having a baby in the coming 3 years? who knows?😀
If I only I can choose, I want a girl, then I will give her introductory to the early ballet lesson, piano, violin, drawing, singing.
While knowing what her talent is, I will let her choose what she prefers best.
Hey, am I thinking too far ahead? hahaha, whatever it’s called. I love kids!!
